I just got my first Moog (a LP) for my birthday a few weeks ago and its awesome. One problem, though, is when I try to sync the LFO to midi. As soon as I hit start on my sequencer (Atari ST running Cubase), the keyboard locks up and gives me a Fatal Error Keyboard Overrun error. I’ve seen the other posts on here about turning down the LFO to prevent this error in some situations, but I haven’t seen any with regard to the LFO–>Midi sync.
Nope that’s a new one. Does this happen any time the LFO Sync source is set to MIDI, doesn’t matter if the arpeggiator is on or off?
Have you tried the same with Local Control turned ON or OFF?
What LP firmware version are you using?
I have done plenty of normal playing while LFO is following MIDI Clock and have not seen this error before under that circumstance.
I’m making some changes right now to the LFO, Arp, clock/sync behaviors to prevent these sorts of problems. Any feedback you have will help. thanks!
LFO sync to keyboard would be wonderful. My T3 has this and I love it.
Also, my LP S2 manual (p.27) claims that when the LFO Sync Mode is ‘MIDI CLOCK’, the MODULATION control can be used to select the clock divider, and that the 15 LED’s will correspond to the 15 settings. This unfortunately is not the case, and I had been told last August it was planned for a future OS. The future is now!
