LFO Speed Phatty vs. CP-251

Hi, i noticed that the Phatty has a higher LFO Speed (up to 50khz) than my Voyager. I was wondering
now what LFO Speed the CP-251 has, and if it is worth to add that to my Voyager. I love super fast LFOs…

I guess you meant 50 Hz, right?

Eeeeerm…maybe it was 5khz. But the Phatty LFO is very fast. 50 Hz is way too slow.

251’s lfo is the same as voyagers if i remember correctly. you can use cv to speed it up or just use osc 3 for some wild lfo speeds. i still miss the continous control on the phatty as opposed to the octave jumps on osc 3.

From the Little Phatty manual’s modulation section description:
LFO Rate:
When the LFO RATE switch is selected, the analog edit control is used to adjust the frequency of the LFO. The frequency is adjustable from 0.2 Hz to 500 Hz. Since the LFO rate extends well into the audio range, this allows the LFO to be used for clangorous (FM-like) modulations.

However, from the appendix K:
Modulation Section:
LFO Rate: 0.2 Hz to 50 Hz

It must be 500 KHz according to what you said. Which seems fast to me though…
Will try to hear it tonight…

Yep, the Phattys LFO goes up to 500Hz and the CP and Voyager ones only up to 50Hz. I know about the Voyager third Oscillator as LFO mod source to go beyond those 50Hz. But i would like to either push the Voyagers LFO beyond the 50Hz or apply an external LFO.

I have a Dark Energy which LFO goes also into audio range with 250/300Hz or further. AFAIK if i want to apply that to the Voyager, i need the CP to double the CV signal (DE LFO is outputting only +/- 2,5V, IIRC) to have full impact.
Is there a way to speed up the CPs LFO? Or is there a known mod. for either CP or Voyager?

Yup, that´s why i want to apply an external fast LFO to the Voyager.
