Issue with Ableton

When using Messenger with Ableton Live 12, the synth is mostly unusable.
It changes sound after 3 seconds, without any information on the synth itself.
Settings : local off / usb in and out USB (same with midi din) / no filter.
Idem with settings : local on / no usb out

I tryed every settings possible. I will send back the synth if no solution is on the move.

I could figure out the cause of the problem. It is not a midi issue but a USB issue. Without any usb cable, everything works ok. But with a USB cable connected to my Macmini M4, Messenger change sounds and sucks midi CC in different ways (even if USB not connected on settings !).

So need a firmware update to use USB like i actually can se the synth with midi DIN + receiving aftertouch (via USB or Midi Din).

I have the same issue and am also In contact with Moog for this problem. They can’t replicate the issue they said. I think we are beta testers at this point. Look with a MIDI viewer (and let the Messenger send Midi CCs) if you also get CC 43 all the time. I have the sound change issue, the cc 43 issue and a faulty arp implementation now on two different units.

Yes we are…
I think It is a firmware problem, but they don’t replicate for any reason (différent PC, no Ableton…)

Exactly! And I get the absolute basic troubleshooting suggestions in every response, like I don’t have the tickets open for 4 weeks and not summarized the issue multiple times. I had even uploaded multiple videos showing and explaining the issue.

This should not happen on an 800 € mono-synth. These are basic implementation errors, and I could accept it if the support would just go and investigate the issue!

I have the same problem (in multiple daws) uncommanded midi cc’s (among which #43), sound changes rqndomly, which renders Messenger virtually unusable

I also am having this issue, it basically makes using the messenger unplayable especially if you haven’t saved the patch you’re attempting to use. It constantly reverts back to the panel settings. Or has a weird double trigger of notes.

Also using MIDI over USB for my setup in Ableton.

It seems to be solved by the new firmware 1.08

get the update at moog music downloads!
