Is the roland ev-5 compatible with the mf’'s?
The short answer is yes. I never tried it myself, but it is recommended by Dan Fisher, product specialist at Sweetwater.
There are a number of compatible expression pedals available that work at large on moogerfoogers and Moog synths, but they will produce slightly different voltages because of the main pot, and also the arrangement of the trim pot. Sometimes it can be a plus.
The Moog EP-2 is more closely matched with Moog gear specifications, but the wire and spring tension mechanism makes the pedal not smooth at all and easily breakable under heavy usage.
I use the Roland EV-5 with my Phatty and Foogers. It’s all good.
