I am trying to use midi-ox to update the OS of my Voyager.
However, my computer (Windows 7) doesn’t recognize the Voyager. I have the Voyager connected to the computer with midi-cables via my Presonus audio interface. In master mode, the Voyager is set to receive update. But midi-ox doesnt recocnize the Voyager.
Is there a midi-ox tutorial for moog users? Or can anybody give me a hint? Midi-ox was recommended by Moog in the manual. But I am a musician, not a computer expert.
Hi,
MIDI-OX knows nothing about the Voyager but your interface.
Open Options/MIDI Devices and select the right input and output port.
Here are the adjustments for the sysex buffers (View/Sysex…/Sysex/Configure…):
I am trying to send presets to version 3.6 but those settings aren’t working, and the window has changed in the new version. Do you have a new recommended setting?
Hi bichuele,
this is the Windows XP window, I guess you have a different Windows version.
What operating system is on your computer and what MIDI interface are you using?
I’m using the 7.0.0 version, you can get it here: http://www.midiox.com/zip/midiox700.exe

I use Windows 7 with version 7.0.2 of MIDI-OX and, actually, the update was successful when replacing banks A-G, but it doesn’t work on bank H neither from Windows, nor OS X Mavericks using C6, on firmware 3.6 beta.
I could test it using WinXP and Snow Leopard too, as well as some old MIDI sequencers.
This could be something related to the beta firmware, IMHO. Shall I try those tests? Which syx files, and what settings are recommended for the test?
