How are people connecting the Messenger Editor via DIN MIDI

I am at my wits end with this thing. I have tried via a MioXM, an E-MU USB-MIDI adapter, and a CME USB MIDI PRO to get the connection over DIN working. No matter what the Messenger Editor says it is not connected. But I can talk to the Messenger fine with other apps over the same connections, and send it CCs.

I can connect to it over USB but that is a hot mess too. For example my KB OCTAVE buttons just jump randomly around every few seconds. This is why I wanted to try DIN MIDI.

I’m glad they released an editor, but its pretty bad compared to previous synths. Expression Mod Assign is broken; maybe other things; don’t think they tested this much.

Hi, I connect the Messenger with DIN midi in/out to the MioXL midi interface for sequencing, and with usb midi to the PC to connect with the editor. This seems to work fine at same time. If I remeber correctly, I was also not able to connect my Sub37 with the editor using DIN midi from the MioXL, haven’t tried it for the Messenger this way. If you want to use the editor, I think you best use USB midi directly connected to the PC, and use the DIN midi for syncing with external gear.
