I just bought a Minitaur and I realy like the sound of this thing. Anyhow - I noticed that there’s a significant hiss in the sound when the filter is closed and a note is pressed. It goes away shortly after the release phase has ended. The noise is stronger when the Minitaur was off for a longer time and is switched on then., after 20 Minutes it gets quiter. It’s not the USB issue.
Just want to know whether this is normal or not.

I figured this out a bit more in detail. What I hear is probably the envelope. The noise is away if attack and release is minimum and sustain is maximum. If the envelop needs to lower the volume I can hear a noise during this time. Is this normal?

Yes, this is exactly the noise I’m talking about. It’s only audible if the envelope is active like in your example.
Does that mean not every iunit has this noise? Have you replaced yours?

Yea the first one I got had this noise…The soundcloud link was posted by some one else who had the same issue. I just replaced mine with a new unit and it doesn’t have this noise.
I guess it’s some sort of tuning that has to be done back at the factory to remedy it.
