I heard that Jarreth Lackey now fixes the Moog MiniMoog Voyager. Prior to that he just worked on vintage Moogs. Has anyone had their Moog MiniMoog Voyager fixed by Synthpro Restorations? I have a Voyager that needs to be serviced.
Whats up with it? Which problem?
My Voyager pitch drifts. I tune all three oscillators. But if I go to another preset it will be out of tune again. I read that Moog used an out of spec Mylar capacitor. I think they are blue in color. If I stay on the preset it will be in tune but as soon as I change to another preset it will be out of tune and need to be tuned again. I read that with the correct capacitor it fixes the tuning issue.
Perhaps. But if it stays in tune while being in one preset as long as you stay on that preset and detunes immediately after changing the preset the cap is not the problem, I assume. This sounds more like a software or parameter storage issue. If the cap would be the issue, staying in a preset whould detune the vco as well after some time, I’d say.
I see. insightful. Thanks for your input. CT this is JC my moniker on the Moog Forum is VCO.

Backup your programs/patches first. then perform a factory reset from the master menu. check if problem resolved. restore programs as required. hope this helps.
Thanks I’m wary of doing a factory reset. Afraid something might go wrong and that I might brick my Voyager I’m also visually impaired so I wouldn’t want to select the wrong parameters by mistake.
Jareth is legit, I shared Voyager service documents with him.

Thanks Insightful. Appreciate the information.
