Greasing the Wheels

I’ve already complained about the spring in the pitch wheel being rather stiff. I think the real issue is the plexiglas. It’s very slippery. I temporarily stuck a piece of rubber from the bottom of an effect pedal onto the edge, and wow! It’s a totally different world.

Anyone have any permanent solutions?

I keep threatening to make a new spring for mine with an extra turn or out of thinner wire ga. I really like the wheels on a lil phatty. I wonder if they would mount to the pots?

Getting the wheels off the pots would be impossible. Getting the pots with the wheels attached would be possible on the LP, but you’d have to break the housing itself to get them out. I’ve never seen the inside of a Voyager, so I’m not sure how those wheels are inset. If they’re the same as the Phatty, forget about it! :open_mouth:

Of course, Moog offers custom work. Perhaps they could make a Voyager LHC with LP wheels? It should also be noted that the LP uses four LED’s to light the wheels, where the Voyager only uses two. Not sure how that would work logistically.
