Free Modular Synth Demo

Hi Gang,

I’m sure that a lot of you regulars have long been hip to this
amazingly free product. But for those of you who aren’t:

The Norg G2 is a discontinued polyphonic modular synth.

But Nord has thoughtfully left their monophonic demo online.

This runs on most modern Macs and PCs and lets you wire up
as many synth modules as your CPU can handle.

I mention this as a public service for those who dream of having
lots of modular analog hardware someday. This demo will at least
allow you to start experimenting with the concepts of patching:

A very good suggestion!

I would like to second the recommendation of the Nord Modular G2 Demo Software. Even though it is a bit limited versus the hardware G2 and only monophonic, it is still a very powerful tool for learning and experimentation.

And for those who are unaware, I would also highly recommend the Clavia Nord Modular forum at electro-music.com. It is a vast resource for patches and information about Nord Modular systems in particular and modular synthesis in general.
