First time post.
can anyone tell me if the original model D will fit inside the gig bag for a voyager? I know the voyager is dimensionally a little bit bigger width and length-wise, but what about the height? I suspect it’s a little shorter/more compact than the mini and therefore the mini wouldn’t fit in the gig bag, but I was just wondering if anyone knew for sure or had tried. Thanks!
Yes, the D will fit in the gig bag. I never take the D out, but I did use the gig bag to transport it to the shop last year when it needed some work.

No problem. If you are just transporting from your home to the car to your gig it offers enough protection from the weather and minor bumps. If transport’s going to be a bit more rough, you may want to look into a custom hard shell case. That being said I’ve used the gig bag to transport my Voyage for a few years with out any problems… but I take extra care when moving it around. The front pouch has quite a bit of room for cables and such.

this baby is going to be pretty much going to and from the studio only. I actually already have a hardshell case for it (came with it when I bought it) but I want something a little more “portable” for those occasions that I am just going 'round the block. Thanks again for your help.

I bring my Model D Everywhere, even the grocery store some times.. (Just kiddin’) But I love my Voyager gig bags..
Actually, it fits the Model D more snug than the Voyager.. But the Voyager has a little bit more room to breathe…
The bag is one of my best investments yet..
P.S.. The EW gig bag is so cute it’s like a tiny Voyager gigbag.. My daughter loves bringing in the Theremin when we set up at a gig cuz she can easily sport her own Moog gig bag..
It could also double as a stylish purse for your girlfriend !
I got a very nice real plywood flight case for my Minimoog some years ago.
But I have nothing as good for my Voyager yet.
Shame on me !
I bought the Voyager to have a Minimoog on stage and got no flight case.
But for the same money I rather bought an old string machine or two.
