Fake Paul Vo Moog Guitar?

I just purchased a Paul Vo Moog Guitar from Australia. It’s the ‘Navy Mist’ swamp ash version and weighs about 8 lbs.

It appears to be in perfect working order and is signed, but it has a neck that is strikingly similar to the model E1 version that I own. This neck is VERY different from the ‘Honey’ Mahogany model Paul Vo that I also own.

My question is this:

  1. Has anyone ever seen a counterfeit Paul Vo Moog Guitar?

  2. If you have, are there any dead-giveaways that tipped you off?

I have never seen a fake Moog guitar but I have seen others. The biggest indications I have seen are usually if the glue is visible around the neck or if the wood seems to be cheap and flimsy.
