Hello,
I’m looking to fully isolate the wet output of master FX - particularly an Eventide Shimmer - based effect I am using. This is to record parallel wet / dry signals to allow for more flexible arrangement in my DAW.
I know you technically get “Wet Solo” output by killing the synth to VCA routing – but this is clearly not the case. The dry signal reduces, but is clearly present in the FX only signal.
I guess the question is - Is this an inevitable dry / wet mix on this type of effect, or has anyone discovered something clever I’m not seeing in the FX settings? If others agree this is inevitable – is there someone who can comment as to whether the Eventide Shimmer virtual plugin / the actual hardware operate this way, vs this just being a quirk of the moog one implementation?
Thank you!
