etherwave CV kit question

Hello,
I just received the CV upgrade kit for my etherwave. Quite simple to do, but I’ve got a doubt.
In the manual, they said I’ve to make the connections between the 5-wire harness and the 11-211 PCB.
But in my etherwave is not quite the same as the picture… there’s a componant in the pcb (I think it’s a diod, but not sure, I’m newbie for that)
Can I surely remove it or not ?

(pardon my english… I’m a french guy, the pics should bring a better explanation of my problem)

I received an answer and finish the Kit instalation.
Endly, I test it, all is great but the headphones out, no sound at all.

What can I do ? check the fonctionnality of which component ?

I’d check the amp in/amp out connections if I were you.
