Hope this will be useful to windows users. I had an issue with my Muse not staying connected to the PC as a drive when trying to enter disk mode the connection would almost instantly drop.
The fix was to uncheck “allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”
on every USB Hub under Universal Serial Bus Controllers in device manager.
Thanks. This is a good recommendation. I have all USB devices on my DAW PC with power suspend disabled.
The only other thing to note, is that these USB settings can get reset during major OS updates (Microsoft thinks it knows better), so it is best to periodically check settings, especially after a large update.
