digitally generated AMP envelope on LP SE?

Somewhere I read on these forums, that some technical changes have been made with regard to the original (tribute edition) Little Phatty.

There was this rumour that the TE has two fully analog envelopes but the SE has only one (for the filter) and a D/A converted second one for the AMP section.

Is ist true, and – if not – what exactly has been changed from TE → SE?

Anyone in the know and willing to share the secret?

I hope this is not true… it would really suck.

This would actually influence me into getting a tribute instead of the Stage, even tough the tribute is known to have some sort of interference noise problem.

I think the envelopes in the SE are still fully analog generated. It’s some of the RAC control that has changed. The differences between the TE and the SE have been discussed extensively in the archives and the details regarding RAC functionality are noted in the manual. The TE had noticeable scanning noise in the audio path which was the reason for the redesign.

It’s a great little analog synth.

both filter and amp envelopes are definitely 100% analogue circuits, on BOTH the Tribute and the Stage editions. I Guarantee it.™

Thanks for this first-hand information! I was quite sure I read something different earlier but couldn’t locate the source anymore…

If you now could also Guarantee™ that a fix is under way for the interferences… :astonished:
