Where does one fine a cv pedal?
Or is this a DIY with a volume pedal and 9V battery?
What about the FS-1 or EP-1 from Moog?
I believe one is just a pot and the other is just a switch. There is no CV supplied from the pedal and its my understanding that the neccessary pedal for the P600 is to supply the cv to the P600, not control a cv going to it.
But I’m not really sure. Thats why I asked.
Do you have a CP-251 or a VX-351?
Check the Manual for the range of the CV in.
The tip will be the + and the shaft the -.
So use a battery to supply the max allowed voltage.
If you use a combination of batteries for (for example) 4.5 V, then the max range of (for example, and typical for many synths) 5V will not be reached. But you will be able to use it anyway.
To modify a given CV pedal like the Moog one to use the battery insteed of a +5 Volt comming from the unit is easy.
Just deconnect the wire connected to the ring of the jack inside.
Connect the point where this wire was connected to the + of the battery.
Connect the minus with the ground. You may solder it for example to the cable wire connected to the jacks shaft.
Insert a on/off switch to save battery live or deconnect the pedal each time.
Done !
