Hi. I am about to buy a new power supply, and would like to know what the actual current draw is for the Analog Delay.
And does it make any differense for the current draw if the voltage is 9, 12 or 15 (and what sounds best)
Please help me.
9v, 300 mA
I wouldn’t bother going higher in voltage…
From the manual:
You can power your MF-
104Z from virtually any power
adapter which has a nominal
rating of between +9V and +12V
at a rated current of at least 300
milliamperes, and has the
appropriate power connector.
I wonder if the headroom changes with a +12V power supply.
No, I don’t think so. At least, that’s the case with the 101. ![]()
I know what the manual says, and elsewhere on MoogMusic.com it is also stated that it will run off 200mA (see most frequently asked questions), but I would like to hear from someone who builds the thing, or someone who has measured the actual current draw.
Someone from Moog(Music)?
Usually that person would be Amos. If you really want to know, e-mail him Amos at moogmusic.com. He’s got his hands full with the LP software updates and the Taurus pedals, so he hasn’t been on the forums too much lately.
You can also call Moog on the phone and ask for tech support. They have other people who could answer the question if Amos is too busy. If it happens to be something they don’t know the answer to they will forward it to who does.
But the FAQ pretty much covers it ![]()
will running it at 12 volts do anyhting to it’s sound?
Somehow I doubt it. I ran my MF-102 at 12V tonight, and I didn’t notice any changes. ![]()
