Hi All,
I understand that a single source can drive the 4 way multis on the CP_351. Part I’m lost on, is what serves as that initial source?
On the 251 I see an input(white border around the jack), but on the CP-351 I dont see any inputs with a white border.
Also I see that the CP-351 has two 4 way multi sections. I was thinking maybe the two attenuator inputs would feed each multi respectively but that did not give me any results.
Sure would be nice if moog put out some youtubes on this.
The white jack on the CP-251 indicates it will supply CV power to an EP-1 or EP-2 pedal. Patching other CV inputs through the mult in this manner will allow you to apply the CV off the pedal to more than one destination.
The section on using the VX-351 begins on page 92 of the manual. If you have a CP-251 there are examples of how to use that device with the VX-351 and the Voyager CV inputs beginning on page 102.
The mults will work on any jack. Just plug in a source to any jack, and it will appear on the rest. You can also sum multiple inputs to one jack, though that would potentially overload and maybe break something.
I wouldn’t chance it with the CP, but I sum audio with patchbay mults with no problem. Not really necessary if you have a mixer with subgroups, but sometimes it’s convenient.
