COSMETIC FLAWS - JUST DEAL WITH EM?

Greetings all. Fixed the MIDI problems I was having. Thanks to those who responded! I recently recieved my Voyager Solar back from Moog for a problem with the panel lights. I noticed there is a spot on the cherry cabinet that has been filled with wood filler! Now, I swear it wasn’t there when I first got the keyboard. Perhaps it happened when in for repair, and was fixed. It’s really not that big a deal, about an eighth of an inch on the top of the left side panel near the mod wheels. Enough to draw my eye instantly to it though! Aside from this I LOVE my Voyager!

So does anyone else have wood filler on their cabinets? I realize this is a petty thing. On the one hand, I say, it’s the sound, not the cosmetics. Cut the crap and make some music with this baby! On the other hand I think a keyboard that costs over $3k US, should really not have any cosmetic flaws. If I bought a Rolls Royce with a wooden dash board, I’d be pretty bummed to find a patched area with some woodfiller staring back at me!

just wanted to add that this post is not intended as a slam against the tech dept. at Moog. Amos and the gang were great to deal with and had my Voyager back in a week. I think they have the best support in the business.
