Control Little Phatty with Yamaha CS-5?

Hi! New to the boards, trying to do something fun but can’t quite get my head around it.

My bandmate has a Little Phatty Stage II, completely stock. I’m trying to use CV to get it to play in unison with my Yamaha CS-5, so I can use the keyboard on the Yamaha to drive both simultaneously and get some really interesting sounds going. The CS-5 has CV in and out, and Trigger in and out. I played around last night and haven’t had any luck - using standard 1/4" cables I tried all different cable routings and was able to get some odd results but nothing like what I’m looking for. Is is possible to do what I want with these two machines?

I tried google, but almost every search for “CV little phatty”, etc, results in info on the CV out mod. Really hard to find info on how to actually control the LPII with another synth!

Do the CV and gate voltage outputs of the CS-5 match the CV and gate voltage requirements of the Little Phatty?

For basic CV control, you should connect the gate on the CS-5 to the gate on the LP, and the pitch of the CS-5 to the pitch of the LP.
