What are some colleges with good music programs? I’m trying to find a college with a good music program, but the only ones that turn up in searches are the huge ones (Berklee, Juliard, etc.). I’m looking for a mid-sized school that’s maybe not music-focused, but still has a good reputation. Places like Morehead State, because they have a great music program, but they’re not a music college. Any ideas?

I have always heard that the best school to go to to learn Jazz is North Texas State (thats what the old jazz guys call it). They supposedly have a better reputation than Berklee when it comes specifically to Jazz.
Thats what my father always told me.
