Cluster Flux design question . . . the switches, and another

So it may be a little late to point this out . . . I along with many of you have pre-ordered one, and I’m sure they are rolling off the presses now.

Why was the color red or crimson chosen again for the rocker switches? I had the impression that each individual fooger had its own rocker switch color (except for the MF-105). Did they just have a surplus of the phaser switches?

This may delay shipment another month, but I think they should choose green or purple rocker switches for the new pedal. When I’m playing in a dark club gig, sometimes its the color of the switch that helps me to identify the pedal.

And one more question . . .why was “106” skipped . . . I’ll have you know that “6” is my favorite number (especially when there are 3 in a row!) :smiling_imp:

From the KnobTweak FAQ database:

Q: Why did Moog skip the MF-106 in the Moogerfooger lineup?

A: The Moog folks would have to provide the definitive answer here, but one thought is that by jumping over the '106 model number, Moog created a hole in the product line that opens up speculation as to what it might have been (i.e. the ‘missing’ device that never saw the light of day) or what it might be (i.e. it’s still in development and not ready yet).
