Im trying to set up pot mapping to control the resonance from the oscillator knob. I go to the pot mapping screen, select “OSC”, then change the second parameter to “21 FLT RESON”… The manual says that when i turn the OSC knob with Pot mapping enabled, it shouldnt control anything for the OSC section… However, the knob continues to do its job as you would expect if pot mapping was off, and the pot mapping doesnt seem to be doing anything…
Is there some other setting i have to set? I’ve tried with INT, EXT, and BOTH settings and there seems to be no change.. Was there something in the last OS update to change whats written in my manual?
Not a silly question… Because i dont know what you are talking about.. haha
When i go to Advanced Presets>Pot Mapping>enter> i have 4 selections. MOD, OSC, FLT, and EGR. I go to OSC, then hit curser to the next field change “OFF” to FLT RESON. There doesnt seem to be any “enter” menu option here. I exit out by hitting preset or master and the pot mapping doesnt seem to do anything. If i go back into the menu, it appears that my selection is still there. However, if I hit the preset button twice to take me back to the original preset (before changes), then press preset again to return to the modified preset, the pot mapping disappears… Either way, the mapping doesnt dis-engage the other OSC controls, and it doesnt seem to do anything…
I appear to be doing everything that the manual says, its just not actually working…
You actually need to engage Pot Mapping.
Just press the lit button of the OSC section so that no button is lit. Only now the pot mappong will be effective.
You’re evidently not blind, as you can read these posts
But here’s what written on page 38:
“Once programmed, Pot Mapping is enabled in a section by selecting the active parameter in that section. For example, suppose Pot Mapping is configured for the MODULATION knob to send MIDI CC#10. To activate Pot Mapping in the Modulation section, press the button that is currently active (i.e. lit) in that section. The button will turn off (no button in the Modulation group will be illuminated); the MODULATION knob will now send MIDI CC#10 information when it is adjusted. To disable Pot Mapping in the Modulation section, simply press one of the buttons in that section, and the MODULATION knob will return to its normal function.”
