Can the SP do this sound ( cover tune question )

Hi all,

DOn’t get much chance to play with an SP and am currently the bass / synth bass player in an 80’s cover band using Mac PB/ Logic Mainstage/ Arturia Minimoog V which is working out fine. I think I’d like to go hardware and eliminate the laptop IF the SP can reproduce the intro sound bass of Human League’s Don’t You Want Me Baby, a song I hate playing but remains a staple of the genre. All the other tunes I think I can get but that one eludes me in my few minutes in GC twiddling knobs over the general cacophony. thanks for your input.

With some reverb thrown on top I think you could get there, but what do I know. Better wait for a more informed response.

It also depends on how close is close enough.

i think you could get it close enough, if i remember correctly that bassline was a couple synths layered together. which ones, i dont know (probably a moog and arp?) so if you really want to emulate it maybe pick up a mopho or even another SP and chain them up (with slightly different settings) to give an even thicker sound
