I’ve got a lead on an Oberheim DX that has no sounds. He thinks the RAM has been cleared out some how. Do you think $95 USD is a fair price?

To me, it seems like a gamble. If the ROM has been cleared, as long as that’s the only problem, go for it! If all the chips have been pulled, though…that’s another story. 
They are ROM (READ ONLY) Unless you can have new ones, it’s worthless. You can’t reload ROM’s without a prommer (burner)
