I’m looking to make a clanking buoy sound. Any thoughts? I have a sub 37 and minitaur at my disposal.

you mean a Pioooouuu- Sound 
Mute all OSC´s & Noise and use the Filter Selfoscillation (Resonance very high & Cutoff low) with a high Amount of Filter- EG.
Then play with with this Parameters and give the EG´s a special Decay and Release…
You will find the right Points!
