A quick question on the 3.1 upgrade. When I power up, the launch screen still says v2.5.
I checked in the master menu under version and it says boot version 2.5 and software version 3.1.
Is this normal?
I am a little concerned because I loaded the upgrade banks in the wrong order (i know I should have read the read me FIRST). Should this cause any problem? Everything seems to be working fine, all the new functions are in effect.
In what order did you send the three OS update files to the Voyager?
The order has to be B, then A (both with setting the Voyager to receive the update in the MASTER menu first) and then the Voyager will ask for bank C of the update.
It worked fine here on first try.
And one user had the very same “problem” as you, and sended the files in the wrong, but more logical order of A, B and C.
after I performed the update from 2.5 into 3.1, my Voyager didn’t want to reload te presets. I did the thing in the right order B, A, C. The Voyager seems to disgard the preset memory. The hardware update is not yet installed, because it’s not available in the Netherlands.
Anyone an idea?
P.S. After re-installing 2.5 and reloading the presets everything works fine.
as described earlier here, the V3.1 changes the internal memory locations of the presets…
Therefor you have to save the “old” presets first, then do the update (in the correct order, as you mentioned before) and after that reload that “old” presets. Then it should work.
You don’t need the board at the moment, only if 128 presets won’t be enough for you…
