I dunno if the CV Inputs are all analog or not but it would be cool if we were able to assign them to other parameters on the Sub Phatty. Individual oscillator pitch or waveform shape, envelope decay etc. .
Just a thought.

Coming in version 1.1
Version 1.1 is for the Sub37, I believe the OP was asking about the Sub Phatty. That said, it would probably be possible on the SubP as the architectures are similar - Amos just needs time to do it!
Really?
I’d love to hear it from Amos. . . . but I feel as though the Sub Phatty has been abandoned. Hopeful that has not.

Oops, sorry … wasn’t paying attention.
I remember seeing a post somewhere that a Sub Phatty update was being considered but they haven’t decided what to include. I would bet that will be the last major update. I’m hoping to see polychain. As for assignable CV I don’t think so. Although it is probably possible It seems like it would be a pain to setup without having a menu display.

True, but easy enough with the editor?
Also, I’m not so sure that the next SP update will be the last. The Little Phattys have been around a while in many incarnations and received updates up until they were discontinued. I think it is an issue of resources at Moog - so many things to do, so little time and people. Pure speculation on my part!
Could be as simple as holding a button and twisting a knob. . .providing that could be programmed.

Actually, it wouldn’t be that bad. It would be just like any other Sub Phatty Shift Mode edit:
Press BANK 4 + ACTIVE PANEL.
Choose the correct combination of BANK and PRESET buttons that corresponds to PITCH CV, VOLUME CV, or GATE CV MAPPING.
Choose your Mapping Destination by pressing a corresponding key.
You could theoretically have up to 25 choices as there are 25 keys on a Sub Phatty.
Could it not be implemented like the Minitaur via the editor ?
Of course, but the comment was about the difficulty of editing that parameter directly from a Sub Phatty.
It would certainly be doable with shift mode and it sounds simple … But who can remember all of them. Now add 25 more for CV assignment. Maybe turn a knob instead of assigning destinations to the keys.
Oh the joys of menu diving with out the aid of a menu.
I keep the sub menu cheat sheet on my phone so I can reference it. ![]()
Sure, but now your Destinations are limited only to parameters that have knobs on the front panel.
Hmmm, you have been pretty specific with details and seem insistent that shift mode is the way to go. Maybe already secretly testing this for Moog ![]()

Nope, it’s not like that. (At least, not yet.)
It’s just that, after having written several manuals, you tend to anticipate the methodology.
Ultimately the editor will be the way to go but it would be nice to have options!
This is all a dream until Moog says it’s not. C’mon, Amos, chime in!
Maybe now that the update for the Sub37 is out we will see some action for the Sub Phatty?!?! ![]()
