Hi,
I have a Moog LP stage 2, and I’m very very happy with it. But, some sounds are a little too dry for me 
So, I’m looking for a nice analog delay for my Moog LP. Yes, i know the moogerfooger effects, but it’s a liitle too pricey for me, at the moment.
What do you think about this one, the MXR Carbon Copy m-169?
Or maybe the Electro Harmonix Memory man…
the carbon copy is a great sounding delay…plus, it’s small, and the price is right, too. highly recommended
A concern with the Memory Man is that you might not have enough headroom, as it is designed to work at guitar level signals and the LP can put out quite a bit of signal. The same probably goes with the Carbon Copy, but the Memory Man is notorious for not having much headroom.
I love the Moog delay, but realize that it is really pricey.

Deluxe Memory Man samples (with a Voyager) @ earsmack.com - I also have an LP and have used it with without any headroom issues. I think it sounds great!

Moog and EHX go together really well.
I think ANY delay would sound good, but youd want to find one thats not going to rob the bass.
Is the Space Echo too expensive?

I have a Memory Man, and i like it!
It´s a great sounding delay + there´s a great chorus and vibrato function in it too. I like to give just a little bit of chorus on, that way the Moog sounds a bit older and not quite in tune.
I have never head the MXR, but I really like my Memory Man.
And EricK´s right, Moog and EHX are great together 
The memory man with hazarai works well here too. It is better suited for some strong effect effect settings than for standard delay jobs from my view.
The best basic stomp box delay, when I checked some, was a suprise to me from a brand I hadn’t even taken into account: the Marshall EH-1 Echohead. It has a very warm analog type delay on board which is well useable with the LP without any problems. It has the best price-value relation from my view.
If you spend a bit more, the Boss Re-20 is a very good choice.

i’m using it a lot with my LP. i know it’s not exactly analog, but it sounds amazing and it’s really user friendly for live performances.
I think that I had my Micro and RIng Mod to a HOly Grail…I think thats a reverb pedal though but they sounded awesome.

I have two analog delays for the LP.
An Ibanez AD-202, one of the best analog delays, and an Artec ADL2, a very cheap korean analog delay, but it is a good thing for the moog too.
Of course there are different sounds, but these are good alternatives of the moog delay or the EHX…
Ibanez makes an awesome digital delay. Some day I’ll get an EHX MemoryMan, but thats really low on the priority list. 
I’ve been hesitating these days on a Memory man because I wanted an analog delay too and I’m a fan of EHX products
But, well, the price tag… I’m not that much into effects to lay down that amount of money
(Instead I bought a Small Clone on ebay, which is also very good with a nice Moog lead)
Has anyone seen or heard of the BBE Two Timer? It claims to be inspired by the Boss DM-2. Sam Ash has it for $149.99.

I use the carbon copy with the LP II, but be carefully, the LP-outputsignal seems to be too strong to the carbon-copy input. You can week the signal with a potentiometer.

It sounds great with extremly low noise.
The Memory Man is a little expensive but there are lots of deals going on these days - every week I get coupons in the mail from Sam Ash or Guitar Center. $50 off $150 or more - stuff like that. Not to mention you can always bicker about the price of musical gear. If it’s $329 offer them $300 and you might be surprised 
the deluxe memory man is more expensive than the stereo memory man with hazarai.
they are both very different beasts and both interesting. if you find the deluxe too expensive, check the stereo.
If you want a cheap solution to this I’ve been using the Digitech Digidelay’s analog modeling setting on my LP S II and it sounds great. http://www.digitech.com/products/pedals/DigiDelay.php I’ve had mine for about four years and love it. Also the Boss DD-20 is nice, but the advantage of the digitech is it takes a mono in and sends a stereo out if you like. Very useful. There is also a nice backwards delay if you are so inclined.
