The Power of Modular Synthesis

Just watched this, and I thought I’d share.

You guys need to sell DVD’s like this…I’d surely purchase them, and it would provide revenue for the Foundation long after the event itself.

That’s crazy, I’ve never heard anyone who shares my theory about continuous waveforms, and how you can subconsciously perceive the discrepancies in digital waves. Not to say its a competant theory, I don’t know, but its the theory I have used in debates for years, and I have never heard anyone agree with it until now.

BTW, unfiltered37, isn’t your first name August, and aren’t you originally from Buffalo ?

I don’t know if I agree with the subconscious perception part. It seems theres no real way to offer evidence to substantiate that claim. It might be more of a confirmation bias.

And as far as the human body being a receptacle for audio…well I’d say thats true as long as one’s ears are working. I would argue that a human being is a receptacle for all sensory information as long as their senses were all working properly and the brain was capable of processing them accurately (for example Wernicke’s Aphasia). Honestly, comments like these SOUND nice to say to an audience, but come across to me as mumbo jumbo unless they can be validated with evidence.

It would be worth experimenting to see if someone has an inate sense to discern a digital waveform from an analog one under different circumstances. I submit that if he said that it is an “unconscious perception” then that indicates to me that people can’t truly tell the difference, but I’ll reserve my final judgement until such an experiment takes place.

my two pisos.
