Absolute best analog sequencer for RME?

Hi,

What is the absolute best analog sequencer for RME?

Thanks :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi,

There is no ‘best’. It depends on what features you want. Also why specifically an ‘analog’ sequencer? The sequencer does not make any sound by itself so it makes no difference if you use analog or digital.

Personally I use a MAQ16/3 from Doepfer http://www.doepfer.de/maq.htm and a Cirklon which is unbelievably powerful both of which have MIDI and CV outputs

It seems that many people here like the DarkTime (also Doepfer), personally I don’t like it very much. It’s too small and quite expensive for its limited functionality… but as I said it depends on what you want.

thanks,

I only need one track, as the moog is mono, and also make most of my riffs 8 16th notes long (techno).

I would like as many paralell rows with knobs for my riff as possible so I can tweak many parameters

Synthesizers.com Q119 works great.

But the Moon 569 looks to be really awesome.

WHat do you want to spend and we’re assuming you have the input expansion?

+1 for the Moon. If I did not have the MAQ I would get one of those… 3 times the price though and not as many features.

I use a Q119 With quantizers, an MAQ16/3, and a pair of STG Soundlabs time module systems. Each has its plusses and minuses. If I could have only one with an RME, it would be the MAQ 16/3.

i liked the arp 1613, now have a doepfer 16/3 , soon will get one of these :

My vote goes to P3/Cirklon
