I recently purchased a Novation 49 SL MkII Keyboard and would like to set it up to control my Moogerfooger Cluster Flux? Is this possible? I searched the boards and could not find any info. I’m just getting started with MIDI so any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks!
The SL is the perfect accomplice to the ClusterFlux.
The Flux, 104M, and 105M have so much in the way of CC mapping as well as some Midi note function mapping and the Novation has such great control, whether push button, 14-bit, etc.
It’s going to take work to get everything rolling for you and learn what you need to but it will be worth the journey. One thing you should consider is the MidiPal by Mutable instruments; if for no other reason, you can use it for a monitor/troubleshooting, mapping, clock source. If you don’t live in Europe or really don’t have any other use for a Midipal, you should get some decent Midi scope and mapping software.
None of these pedals have display, Midi activity lights, etc. it’s a bit of a mystery at times but alot of power in there and if you can integrate it with an iPad or DAW, even better.
One thing you should definitely experiment with is the lo-fi delay modes where it literally sloooooooooows down buckets well beyond the left end of the RATE knob. Alot of fun.
