A note of appreciation

Over the past year, I managed to push a dimple into the knob bright of one of the knobs on my VX-351. Today, I called Moog Music to see if I could get a new knob bright. Long story short, they are shipping me a new knob free of charge!

That, my friends, is customer service!

Thanks, Moog, I really appreciate it!!!

Yeah man, Moog customer service rocks. They show us love and have pride in what they do.

That reminds me of a British amp company called Quad. They make high end hi-fis. If you had a fault (out of warranty mind) they would ask you to send the amp in. They would send it back (fixed) and say there was never a fault: a bit like Obi Wan. They didn’t want people to ever think their stuff could be faulty, unlike the mass-produced Chinese stuff you get now that has an expected fault percentage.

i doubt they still do this in today’s climate so it’s good to see Moog do little things like this that the big companies would charge over the odds for.

A couple years back I had a lot of work done on my Civic at my local Honda dealer. Every Winter since then I would feel a cold draft at my feet. I kept meaning to get it looked at, but was always too busy.

Anyway, I finally took it in before the holidays, and said that I believed that someone must have disconnected a flapper valve in the heater box last time I was there for service. They said they’d look at it. An hour later, the service guy came up to me with a work estimate, said that nothing was found, and that there was no charge!

When I picked up the car, lo and behold… no more draft!

You could’ve knocked me over with a feather!!
