Not mine, but always interesting to look at.
Moog 55A on Ebay
This one seems to be built April 2, 1982. Guessing from the serial, this would be a system 55A, without the sequencer. Looks to be stock. If money was not an issue, I would make an offer on this one. ![]()
US $46,000.00
Ridiculous! ![]()
The asking price is an Ebay loophole. Will probably be sold behind Ebay for less without the Ebay fees. Iām sure the seller wonāt turn down a resonable offer?
For half that money I could have Roger build a larger system. And it would all be new and working.
Lots on nice pictures there! ![]()
JLR,
did you ever take care of your Mini?

Hey guys thereās a Moog 46k!..err Moog 55a on ebay!
Not cheap!
I always love those synth auctions that say..āI have a friend who checked it outā and "Iām a guitaristā what they are saying is I donāt really know jack about this thing, but somebody else told me itās okā¦
Yeah thatās a red flag in my book.
āHad a friend check it outā could mean he had his neighbor look at it and go āoooh, ahhhhā
I swear that there was a poster here awhile back that had that same 55 tilted cabinet that was sitting on a tiled countertop, except these were homemade modules, cabnetized, I think from europe, maybe Italy.
I swore that this was the same one until I saw a different picture from the rear with the yellow tags.
Still counld be a scam auction though.
Eric
It says that they would accept cash for a local pickup/delivery.. and the background imagery appears in line with the stated location of āEl Monte, CAā, so I donāt think its a scam, but pricey for sure. For 46k Iād want some sort of professional check up completed before dropping the dough!
For $46K? Iād expect a BRAND NEW 55ā¦not one nearly as old as me⦠![]()
For 46K you could have the largest new Buchla 200e!
And it doesnāt even has the sequencer.
Or the 950 series keyboard controller
Plus, look at all those blank panels! The thing is really a 2 cabinet system!
