Another option is to simply make an expression pedal yourself out of an old wah pedal or something.
Here's one resource if you want to know how. I haven't read it thoroughly and tried it; I'm sure there are other resources if you look.

actually a keyboard WITH vcos would be great... I was considering a micromoog or something, but thought that perhaps there's an alternative to so much filtering that I essentially have with the moogerfoogers and not enough audio VCOs and functions of them
