Re: Matriarch Main Volume knob / output headroom

Is it a new thing with Moog? This thread talks about something similar with the Moog One: https://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=31174 Especially this post: https://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=31174#p172405 I spoke with my supplier and Moog, I also shared them some audio examp...

Re: Share your synthesizer music!

I sold my first synth - a Micromoog I bought in 2002 - this is the last thing I ever recorded with it, the morning I sold it: https://soundcloud.com/hieronymous-seven/stanagram It's just a bass-pedal-synth kind of part that I overdubbed, so simplistic compared to a lot of the amazing stuff people po...

Re: Post your latest purchase!!

I think I remember when this thread was started, but I believe this is the first time I'm posting in it - I GOT A SIRIN! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48525884297_0544a7ff8f_o.jpg Traded in the first synth I ever bought - a Micromoog - for it. I've used a Rogue and Little Phatty as a poor man'...

I'm a Phish fan but haven't been paying much attention lately. I did post a screenshot a couple of years ago when I noticed Mike Gordon using the Taurus 3!

I like that - do you play it before bed to help you sleep? I think that would keep me up!

Or maybe you have it playing by itself to help lull you to sleep?

Re: Jumpy Filter sweeps on SP

The other day I was using the SP to record audio out, running from MIDI over USB from protools. Manually running the filter with my hand as the song records. The filter response seemed pretty jumpy, or quantized maybe. When I use the moog external footcontroller pedal, I don'e experience any of thi...

Re: Share your synthesizer music!

Finally something new to post! Basically a bass & drum jam, added some Moog Rogue for flavour: https://soundcloud.com/hieronymous-seven/signature-squared Alembic Stanley Clarke Signature Squared through 3Leaf GR-2 envelope filter signed by Bootsy Collins into Damnation Audio MBD-1 bass overdrive...

Re: Little Phatty distorted / wheezy OSC

I noticed the filter cutoff on my LP Tribute was scratchy and jumpy - it was kind of sticking and then jumping instead of being smooth and continuous. I ended up "exercising" the knob, turning it back and forth like 40-50 times. Seems to have done the trick! Not sure if this is related to ...

Re: Listen to my band.

Finally got to listen! Sounds good, I think of European music from the '70s like Cluster, early Kraftwerk, maybe early Tangerine Dream. The recording doesn't sound bad, though I think the viola (violin?) could be louder.

Re: Moog synth sighting! ZOMBI

Rather than start another thread, thought I would post another Moog sighting with a different band here. I saw Goblin the other night - this is the version with Massimo Morante on guitar, Maurizio Guarini on keyboards, Fabio Pignatelli on bass and Agostino Marangolo on drums. They had a falling out ...

Re: Live recording

No one in this band is in a hurry but ultimately we will certainly put out some tracks for sale so eventually the setup has to be good enough for that. We are using a room mic right now for just listening later and seeing what works and what does not. What we have noticed with this setup though is ...

Re: Moog synth sighting! ZOMBI

Cool - thanks! I've never seen one in person and definitely not from the back - well, now I have, but not before this past Sunday night. All the synths sounded really good!

Anyone else a fan of this band? I found a couple of posts here but they're from 15 years ago!

Moog synth sighting! ZOMBI

As a bassist who dabbles with synths, ZOMBI is one of my favorite bands, and I finally got to see them live! They did not disappoint - they masterfully attacked their compositions. Anthony Paterra is a fantastic drummer - he triggered some sequences but mostly just played drums. It was so cool seein...
