Re: New firmware ideas

Would enjoy a choice of "int" or "ext" for sync option so I don't have to turn it off on my sampler before pressing play on sampler's sequencer transport controls.

No PC here either!

Re: Religious

To the OP - how much do you play guitar? One synth, one guitar good for me. Be patient and save money. Get a second Mother used and then have two Mother's and your guitar. Unless the guitar sits unused all the time. My guitars will sit for months at times, but I'm very much a synth enthusiast and ha...

Re: Mother-32 classes now in session

I noticed the Apple App store full of learning tools also. They have a synth sound design teacher app that is $129 when full lessons bought. It is applicable to synthesizers in general but particularly subtractive synthesis. First 22 lessons free, but goes up past 100 lessons and gives you a three o...

Re: New additions to Mother lineup yet?

I use a cp251 with my Mother 32's

I have a 10 jack converter for 1/4" to 1/8" cables.

Works good for extra lfo, mults, S&H

Re: Any Mother-32 Questions?

It's not always the reality what a picture is suggesting - There are three MIDI cables (two red, one green) used to connect a MIDI Solutions Quadra Thru to the three Mother 32 modules - Each AUDIO OUT is going to the IN 1 to 3 (left) of the ART Powermix. So you can pan the signal in the stereo sign...

Re: connecting two mothers

All of that external keyboard or first ones keyboard is really irrelevant - did you try it anyway? Setting both sequencers going at same octave setting and pressing the lowest key on both? You first said it was one octave higher but now it is 3 octaves higher (as your description stated first one se...

Re: connecting two mothers

Set the octave indicators the same - lights will be lit up in the same place on octave scale - and press one of the little keys (probably lowest key) Incidentally thats how you transpose while sequence playing - choose octave and press whichever key in that octave scale you want How are you patchin...

Re: Chaining sequence patterns into songs

You could use one of the easy to program older sequencers bought used that does both pattern and song mode and allows chaining. In that case you would not have to program sequences on the M32, just on the sequencer itself and midi out to your M32 set to whichever midi channel you want it set to. One...

Re: Any Mother-32 Questions?

Ok Ill get a mixer. I have to go with the cheapest used thing I can find for now-- is there anything I should not get or that you recommend? A small Behringer mixer is inexpensive, but basically anything that can mix the three channels and give either a stereo or mono out to your powered speaker se...

Re: Any Mother-32 Questions?

I just bought three mother 32's and am brand new to synthesis. Just got the sub 37 a couple years ago. I want two of the mothers (sometimes three) to act as one synth for drones in my band. Do I have to have an audio out cable coming out of both of them (or all three) into my speaker or is there an...

Re: connecting two mothers

Seems odd that it is exactly one octave up. If it was calibration, you would expect it to be slightly off, not an exact octave.

Re: connecting two mothers

Ok so I have done this connection and it is working except for one thing. The master mother 32 is playing one octave higher than the other one even though they are set to the same octave. Any ideas what is going on? You haven't accidentally transposed a sequence higher on one, have you? They can ha...

Re: Quirks with the M32 (Bug?)

I have a three tier setup. All have midi cables going in. I use cv too sometimes from assignable out to tempo of next one. When they go to sleep on the midi, I have hit the minikeys on them or started the sequencer and it wakes them up fine. I think I unlugged midi cable before starting the sequence...
