Re: Edit buffer dump issues

Please ignore. After upgrading to firmware 1.0.8 everything works as expected.

Edit buffer dump issues

Dear all,

I purchased the two available sound sets, Koreform and Caught In Joy. Both contain the presets as single edit buffer dumps so as not to overwrite the messenger's memory.

When dumping the presets using either SysEx Librarian or SysEx Drop, the presets often sound weird as if they haven't ...

Strange velocity behavior

Dear all, while playing some lead sounds of the Messenger, I stumbled upon the following velocity issue.

Choose factory bank 6, program 10.
Press (and hold) some d very softly. It sounds quite quietly, as expected.
Press some neighbored key (like e or optionally c) very hard and hold it. The e ...

SysEx request (Edit buffer, single programs, global config etc.)

Dear all,

I'm new to this forum. I'm currently evaluating the messenger (I also owned a Sub 37 a couple of years ago).

I wonder whether there are SysEx request commands available so hidden features like the mod matrix or globals could be visualized using some software like ctrlr.

According to ...

Re: Sub 37 rumors/new features wishlist

The Sub 37 is nearly perfect IMO. What I'm really missing is a third envelope. Currently only the filter envelope is an option for independently modulating pitch or waveforms, resulting in a static filter cutoff. At least for lead sounds, a third envelope would provide much more flexibility.

That ...

60 Presets to enjoy your Sub 37 even more…

Due to the appeal of the Sub 37, I could not resist creating some additional lead sounds. It's big fun to "program" and play the machine.

This collection provides 60 presets. Some have been derived from factory patches. Some have been modeled after sounds of other synths. Some are my own work. The ...

Re: Sub 37 build quality

Hi Andy,

thanks for the motivating reply. I got mine back today. The dealer told me the mainboard was replaced. Now there is almost no audible noise floor, so that the patches sound as expected. Fantastic.

I promised some patches, which will appear in another thread in a couple of minutes :) .

Sub 37 build quality

Hi all,

I just registered after lurking around for a couple of weeks. Such a great community!

I got my Sub 37 in June this year. Frankly, I am quite impressed. Except for an semi-analogue Microwave I it is my first analogue machine during 20 years of synth programming.

The first tribute machine ...
