Cool Alex, I was actually noticing some strange stuff in my animoog as well, I have had it since release and hadn't reloaded it. They've changed the file structure in the app and some other things since then. I actually ended up backing up my presets, deleting animoog entirely, and re-downloading it ...

Personally, as far as DAW's go, my preference is Reaper: http://www.reaper.fm/. Full version evaluation version, and only 60 bucks for a non-commercial license, nothing else comes close last time I researched.

Thanks for the feedback! It seems to work or almost fully work. The timbres are there, but for many of them, there's a [missing] appearing right after the name in the Timbres list. Do the presets sound like they are supposed to sound? I think so, but can't say for certain of course.

It sounds like you want both MIDI control input from xone:k2 and sound output through the K2 as well. I'm not aware of anyone who's gotten MIDI control in and sound out through USB working at the same time, it seems the ipad allows one or the other. I'd love to use this feature as well, but I guess ...

I've also seen a lot of mentions of the apple camera connector kit. How much of a crap shoot exactly is it? Has anyone had success (or lack of success) with that route? It's definitely a cheaper alternative to a all-in-one MIDI solution. I don't really need a lot of frills, just basic keyboard ...
