Re: Moog/Realistic MG-1 Mod Guide

If everything is done correctly, is recalibration generally never needed when doing the filter mod? I just got my MG1, want to do the filter mod, but I'm having a very hard time understanding that calibration process on p18. I'd hate to do it and be stuck. You sent a few questions through PMs and i...

Re: Tuning issue

You would probably have to post more details about the pot, like values, pictures, any numbers/markings on it. You may also have better luck posting on a music electronics forum like GroupDIY.com . A lot of recording gear uses dual concentric pots and there are some incredibly experienced people on ...

Re: Arp Odyssey - Now I Get It!

I went with the full sized version as well. I thought they'd be available for a lot longer than they were. I purchased it last second because I didn't want to miss out. I think it was Sweetwater's last one. I'm really glad I did.

Arp Odyssey - Now I Get It!

I've leaned heavily towards Moog synths as my preference for a while. Recently, I decided to go ahead and pick up an Arp Odyssey. The demos don't sound too amazing to me, but I like a lot of bands that use them. At first I struggled with it. The controls don't react the way I expect them to. I found...

Re: Newbie Model D Question

It takes around 30 minutes for mine to the tuning to stabilize (longer if it was in the cold). The master tune knob usually lands between -1.5 to -1.5 for a while, then slowly goes towards zero. Between -.5 and .5 sounds totally acceptable to me.

Re: Gaze into my Minimoog Power Supply crystal ball...

This is really blown out of proportion. Any negatives to the external power supply are overshadowed by the benefits. They used a standard 4 pin xlr instead of a custom connector. It'll always be pretty easy to find a +\-15v, 5V psu, even if you need to get one custom made. If you're worried about we...

Re: My Pedalboard

HI Facon, I think we may have chatted on soundcloud. My Patch Box is not noisy. In fact, I like it so much that I ordered a 2nd one. I think they upgraded their power supply in the last batch to one made by "Vol-gen." I've heard the Clouds module can be quite noisy because the reverb is o...

Re: My Pedalboard

So, questions... What's that patch box? How do you use it live? Is it like a patch bay for the different pedals? The switcher in front right with 3 footswitches, is that for the looper? I see the looper is under the top tier... What's WFRI? I'll repeat someone else's question: how are the foogers f...

My Pedalboard

A few years ago, I decided to put together a ridiculous pedalboard with everything I'd ever need. I use this mostly in my studio, but do still play out live once every couple months. I have to wire up the midi cables, but everything else is good to go. Yes, it weighs a lot! RJM Mastermind PCB - {Pig...

Re: Anybody mounting their MFs to a pedalboard/power supplie

Take the rubber feet off, flip the bottom metal piece over, screw it back in without the feet, apply Velcro. If you decide to sell, you can just flip that metal piece around and the label will be fine. I use a Cioks Ciokolate to power 6 Moogerfoogers on my pedalboard. Works great.

Re: Moog/Realistic MG-1 Mod Guide

Hi, first of all - thank you Falcon for posting all these tips - they really worked great and I have done almost all of them (and then some extra), and my MG1 has turned out awesome! Here is a demo of all the new stuff: m And here is a demo tune only using my "new" MG1: m There is a few a...

Re: Talk me into keeping my MF104M

Before you ditch the 104 try using it as a send/return off your mixer instead of routing directly through it. I bring the returns back to a pair of inputs and mix to taste. I've found that using the 104 in this way the audio doesn't get taken over and swallowed whole by the delay. Hmm, I'm a bit co...
