I recently rewired my rack and it became sensible to change the midi clock to my Innerclock visual metronome to come from my Muse.
De Nada. No Metronome. No Thru Thru.
My Muse is receiving Midi In - I am sending a play command and clock from PC and the sequencer happily starts.
The downstream ...

Re: Muse 'frozen'?
I think bug infested nightmare is a bit of an overstatement. It's an enjoyable, functional synth with a couple big issues and a pocketful of small ones. They all should be software addressable - hopefully they don't let us down. I have faith, though I wonder why I still do myself at times...

Does anyone else struggle to utilise their LFOs?
I don't think it would be an exaggeration to say that the LFO is half of most of these pedals, but I can never find a musical use for it.
I have the Midi Murf, Delay, and Phaser, and whenever I employ the LFO it just ruins what vibe I have going. It's partly coz it's never in key, but it's also ...

Re: Muse 'frozen'?
I believe I've narrowed this down to rebooting my PC with the Muse connected (and maybe active?) via USB midi. I don't normally like to use USB for midi but I have the keyboard in a temp location that makes USB the pragmatic option til it goes back into my synth rack.

Muse 'frozen'?
I've just had my muse freeze up twice in about an hour.
I've just got it beside my desk and noodle on it as a fidget spinner of sorts as I work - so not sure how long its taken to freeze up.
Almost nothing is responsive, menu, audio output all frozen up.
I can press the buttons outside the ...

I'm pretty happy with mine. Polybrute is ugly and heavy. This thing makes me smile whenever I look at it or touch it
Yes it has some issues, but they really do seem to be software addressable to me.

Re: Can someone explain 'slew' to me?
I did write a thankyou to you all for the advice but it seems I never posted it or something got lost along the way. I only half understand some of the comments here, but there are quite a few lightbulbs dimly showing light in my brain, and I can think of a few factory patches that will be good ...

Firmware suggestion: Return to selected function after quick tune
I am not sure anyone in a position to receive feedback actually reads these forums, but I thought I'd post this here in the hope it somehow gets to the team:
When entering the 'ancillary' functions on the side of the menu interface (midi, cv, menu, tuning etc), the primary function selected (patch ...

Board isn't letting me attach a photo of the setup, sorry! Attachment quota rubbish about a 200kb file.

Muse tuning in the Summer: External case fans *may* improve tuning stabiltity
I write this post knowing that most Moog Muse users have never experienced this synth in a summer heat, but I have here in Australia. My tuning instability hasn't been consistent enough to say it's entirely down to higher temps or rising temps, but I did find that it was hard to have stable for long ...

Can someone explain 'slew' to me?
I've been aware of the term 'slew' for some time, and I understand that it's about delaying the response to something, but I don't really understand the impact of making it higher, lower, or anywhere in between in the Mod Matrix?

Re: Voice Count / mono / unison Issues
I've noticed random not hanging as you describe, but haven't paid enough attention to the circumstances to consider it reportable.
I've noticed the 'two cards firing' thing. I'd always figured it was something about the patching and haven't looked into it yet. Are you saying you get the 'two cards ...

Re: MF104m delay not working
Way to late to help I am sure, but this exact symptom caught me out a few times when I had the insert loop heading to a patch bay in an unterminated 'thru' mode.
May not have been the issue here, but having an insert cable sitting there open 'for when you need it' will kill the delay but not your ...

Re: Headphone out too loud and the basic noise floor significant
I have to have my headphone out at 1% for some patches, otherwise it actually feels ear-damagingly loud. I don't think I've ever dared/wanted to put it above 25%.
I tried putting my headphones (Sennheiser HD595) into the mono out and THAT port felt more functional/appropriately levelled for ...

I just practiced touch typing on my 16 buttons and I think I can feel what you're talking about on the edges - I wouldn't have noticed myself though.
