well i just tried a third hosa insert cable thinking maybe the first two were from a bad batch or whatever..still no luck. i am seeing a midi trigger as the red led is flashing everytime i hit a key but no sound is coming out. well i did that and i even purchased 2 insert cables, so it isnt the cables, its the RME. I tried several different stompboxes, none of them worked.

hmm im kinda lost already lol. Can you take me thru this slowly? I plug the insert cable to the back of the RME and i want to use a stompbox...then what do i do?

how do i know if i have gate signal coming in?
