I never would have though there was so much history behind this synth. Thanks to everyone for their contributions on this thread.
Just one more question - this band I have been in contact with claims their synth is one of "only 3 in the entire Universe" (see their description of their synth here ...

Obermoog (alleged Moog / Oberheim hybrid?)
Just wondering if any of you have any insight regarding the "Obermoog" modular synth.
As readers of any of my other posts will already be aware of, I run a gear website ( http://www.alternative-electronics.com ) where I list what music gear has been used by various bands.

Moog Rouge or Rogue?
As some of you may have seen on my other posts, I run a gear website ( http://www.alternative-electronics.com/ ) where I list the music equipment used by various electronic musicians. I get the gear info from interviews with artists or directly from the bands themselves in most cases.

Re: Moog Gear (and users) at Alternative-Electronics.com
I thought about what you posted and have reworked the submission process so that citing a source is no longer required. I haven't fully tested it out but you should be able to enter submissions now without a URL to back up your gear claims - just enter a short explanation of your first-hand ...

Re: Moog Gear (and users) at Alternative-Electronics.com
It wouldn't accept the URLs? It's supposed to verify that the URLs you enter as a source are "valid" (as in they are actually a real webpage) but maybe there is a problem with that. I'll look into it. What were you trying to add? In the meantime maybe I could just add it manually myself.

Re: Moog Gear (and users) at Alternative-Electronics.com
I've made a note to myself to add Rick Wakeman and Tangerine Dream when I have time but unfortunately no matter how many bands I add manually, there will always be thousands more I don't know about. As Mr Arkadin pointed out, that's the whole point of the new "Contribute" section.

Moog Gear (and users) at Alternative-Electronics.com
Hi everyone,
Awhile back I posted a link here to a gear website I run, http://www.alternative-electronics.com , where I've done my best to list the music equipment used by various synth/industrial/idm/ambient/etc artists and bands in a single place. I also have a page set up for Moog gear at http ...

Thanks everyone - just so you know I'm also working on a user contribution system, so people will be able to submit new gear/bands to the site and add gear to band's equipment lists. I've done my best adding the first 250 or so bands but I'm hoping with input from others it will grow a lot larger ...

New Gear Site - Alternative Electronics
Hi everyone,
I've recently created a new gear website based around alternative electronic musicians and the gear they use - basically users can click through the site and see which bands use what as well as which gear is most popular etc.
I have a sub-page set up for Moog gear, it'd be cool if ...
