+1 on this question. I just love this kind of Hammer sounds, and still have problems coming close, after many efforts.
Normally there are always some experienced Moog users who can answer questions concerning a specific sound.
But when it comes to Jan Hammer lead sounds, you hardly get useful ...

Re: Soundtower editor not receiving or transmitting
Haven't been able to solve the issue completely.
After a complete Voyager RME factory reset at least sending from the editor is working again and allows to overwrite patches.
But it still seems impossible to receive from the Voyager. Restarting the editor didn't help: thanks anyway.

Soundtower editor not receiving or transmitting
I have problems with the Soundtower Moog Voyager editor: The Voyager neither receives nor sends patch information with it.
My configuration:
Voyager Editor 3.6.3 (tested both with Windows 7/32 and Windows 7/64).
Moog Voyager RME with OS version 3.5.

This is definitely something I like: very relaxed, groovy and still interesting.

Very nice take!
Reminds me a bit of the best of Gentle Giant times.
Did you use an LP bass preset or made the bass from scratch?

Re: Control RME Volume from LP?
Ok, so pot mapping will be the way to go.
I use an LP Tribute Edition, but with updated hardware and an up-to-date LP OS. This can't be a reason why volume control via LP doesn't work here. So I will also check my RME settings to see if something prevents it from receiving loudness CCs. I doubt it ...

Control RME Volume from LP?
So far I have used the LP and the Voayger RME separately.
Now I would like to play the RME from the LP.
The first test let me run into two problems:
a) I would like to control RME volume from the LP. I found no way so far.
b) I would like to readjust some LP presets for RME control. Is it ...

Re: How about a LP rack version
Yes, definitely useful, especially to get to some polyphony without having LP keyboards all over the place.
MUCH more interesting would be something like a LP 4/5-voice rack to get a five or 6 voice LP, especially if the price for a four-voice would stay around 3500€.
Don't know if that is possible ...

i don't understand people believe the voyager is a model-d.
its evident that soundwise there is difference. both a exceptional well made synth's, but if you want a model-d , i'm sure you will have to go just for that. ( prices are about the same now )

Re: Interesting model D / Voyager comparision
MC,
could you post an A/B/C-comparison of Voyager/Model D/Voyager->Model D, as described by you?
I'm really curious to hear the results in comparison.
@Amos and Rudi:
it would be nice if both of you could comment on the observations from the start of this thread.

Re: POLY WANT A PHONIC?
This discussion will never end as long as there is no at least 2-4 voice polyphonic LP.
And it is absolutely right that it will not end!
I regard all this talk about "get yourself a second, third, fourth" device as utter nonsense.
It is an extremely weak workaround: incomfortable, room wasting ...
