Re: Wallwart question

My 104sd shipped directly from Moog and the walwart was not the Moog branded one but my phaser from Sweetwater was Moog.

you are obviously not a live "tweaker" musician....more of a "set & save" studio musician i am guessing?

You got that right e_e-g studio stuff but some tweaks are recorded while playing.

I have a SE Voyager and was going to get the LP Stage but found the RME Voyager for not much more than the LP and purchased it instead.
The only thing I thought I'd miss from the LP was the overdrive circuit as an editing option.
RAC will not affect the sound of the LP so how did this beccome the ...

Why'd you do it ?

What made you buy the LP instead of the Voyager?
Would you have done so if price wasn't a factor ?

I have the SE and I picked up the RME for the $1500 brand new with version 3 hardware installed. It was hard for me to pass on it since I saw one used for $1700 that still needed the v3 upgrade and the fact the LP was only $200 cheaper.

What surprised me the most was how different they sounded from ...

What would you do ?

If you had the chance to get a Voyager RME for $1500 with all the upgrades, would
you get that or the Little Phatty to go with the Voyager ?

Where did you buy the Voyager ? I didn't know you could still buy Voyagers directly from Moog and if you did I can see why you would hold them responsible. But if you purchased it from a dealer something could have happended to it there. So to just blame Moog maybe a unfair until you explore all ...

That's why everyone with the SE should take advantage of the factory tunings, it basically insures them of up to date functionality and fixes that are in the newer Voyagers.

Lengai,

What are the glitches in the SE ? With the four year warranty and the 2 factory retunings that Moog offered to the SE owners there shouldn't be any remaining glitches in any USA Voyagers that hasn't be dealt with. I'm not sure if anyone overseas would take advantage of the offer because of ...

Lengai said as for what will be the most valued? I think the Performers will be at the low end, the EBs next, then the Signatures (the backlighting was not available and people have fear of the glitches some have had even though it was fixed), then the AE's and the Signed AE's will be the most ...

The mixed reveiws of the Voyager seems to be more of a price issuse than a feature or sound issuse. I see alot of reveiws stating it's to expensive for a mono synth. Just try the Voyager for yourself and decide if it's for you based only on what your looking for in a synth.

I think some of you are missing something very imprortant about the factory tune up. There's been alot of fixes and updates done to the Voyager since the Signature Edition release and sending your Sig Ed back to Moog will get
everything taken care of. Remember where not talking about the original ...

I'd keep the Mini that sounds the best and get the Voyager. I think with this set-up you'll have more sound making capabilities.
