Well, I put it on ebay for a week. Not one bid!!

Amazingly, it was on at the same time as two others, with some quite serious damage -- and one of them had a bid of over £300!

Funny old world......... Looks like it was an omen that perhaps I shouldn't sell it after all?

As I mentioned in my post above, I have a Prodigy in excellent condition too (although not quite 'mint' --it has tiny scuffs on the end cheeks!).
I currently have it on ebay with a starting price of £525, which seems to be round about the going rate for good ones. Maybe a little more if I'm lucky ...

220V version (336BX model - 2nd edition), so not really an option for a US sale. Thanks for the price indicators though.

I have decided to sell my Prodigy after nearly 30 years (bought new in 1982) but I don't know the best way to go about it?

One of the biggest problems with the rev 2s is getting the SSM chips -particularly the SSM2040 filter.

But it was that filter that makes many folk reckon the rev 2's were the best sounding of all the Prophet 5s!

The service schematic shows the secondary windings fused at 250mA -- so you should be OK with a transformer of 10VA, or perhaps slighty more to be on the safe side.

I would think you'll have no trouble getting that price -- one has just gone for more than £450 on eBay today -- with switchcaps missing!!

I now know why a colleague recently offered me £250 for my Prodigy -I had no idea they were fetching these prices. Needless to say, I didn't part with it.
