How can I sequence my minimoog model D?

I have a future retro mobius which sends Volt /octave cv and works with the s-trig.

The problem is I need to hold down a key to hear the sequence. Is this normal? I'd like to sequence this thing without having to touch the keyboard.

Thanks!

CZ Rider,

Thanks! That's interesting. What year is yours from? your boards look cleaner than mine. I'm sure once I get mine back from Kevin they will look awesome.

Re: MOOG MODEL D DAY!!!!!! with pics

MC,

do you know how I would tell by looking at the board if they are matched? Any special markings?

I am sending all 4 boards in for an overhaul by the Lightners. Do you know if they match transistors to replace the mismatched ones in the filter section?

MOOG MODEL D DAY!!!!!! with pics

Here is my new baby, complete with original manual, sound chart and sample sounds. The wood is perfect and even has some flame in spots. Cosmetically it is perfect! I even got an S-trigger dummy plug. I thought it was a 72 but turns out it is a 74. I have read hot debate about whether it is the ...

Re: Model D Service

For some reason on this old Model D, some keys have yellowed and some have not. I have not tried cleaning them yet but it looks odd. Have any of you seen this? I would think they would yellow evenly. Wierd.

Re: Model D Service

I will be picking up the synth tomorrow after work. I am not sure the serial number on it. It is not the RA Moog or the musonincs but it's early. The guy said it dates to 1972. I'm told the osc board is all discrete with no IC on it. I guess that was a big difference on the early ones. I don't ...

Model D Service

I just finalized a deal on a Model D. I will have it Wednesday night. It's an early one with the early oscillator board. Osc 2 is out , it needs a new main output switch and it's missing the pointer knob for waveform selection on osc 3.

I found the synthfool website and looks like I can get the ...

One more thing. I know this sounds very novice.......but thats what I am.

I did some searches on this forum and a few pwople talked about sequencing the filter and some other parameters, But I can sequence notes right?

Thats mainly why I got it to sequence notes really fast, so I can tweak the ...

Frostwave Fat Controller.......Spill the beans

Well I have had my Voyager for a year now. I have learned a lot about synthesis with the voyager, but I am still very much a novice.

Now I am jumping into the world of sequencing. I have ordered the Frostwave Fat controller after seeing some glowing reviews on this forum.

I have never used a ...
