Re: Yep around the corner and yet! slighltly better in somew
Sound Control are meant to be taking over the Turnkey group and therefore will be distributors and dealers of Moog products in the UK. I'm confused - I was told it was the other way round, that Turnkey had swallowed up Sound Control? I asked my local branch (who are very good on the customer servic...

Please bear in mind that I'm very biased in that: 1. I haven't ever played a Phatty so I'm guessing as to the user experience, extrapolated from the Source and other predominantly parameter-access synths. 2. I'm absolutely in love with my Voyager. Every time I use it, I end up creating five or ten n...

Here's my 2p... If you can afford it, go for a Voyager. This may sound insane for a beginner but I think the Voyager would be much easier to learn synthesis on as there's a knob / switch for (practically) every function. You only need to dig into the menus for deeper programming. Whereas, the Phatty...

I never tried to Mod my synsonics. How can you do it? Ummm... I did it when I was a kid so it isn't that difficult. I drilled a couple of holes in the end, popped in some 3.5mm jack sockets and then soldered them on to the piezo pickups. (I also had a couple of sockets floating around inside - I th...

Well earned if you ask me ;-) ! Good to see that you still have your old Rogue too. Synsonics drums? Weren't they made by Mattel? This is our bit of ancient Mattel-tech...... Yep! I bought some and pretended to be Wolfgang Flur - no jumping around with tennis rackets for me. :-) Those synsonics dru...
