Re: Are Moogerfoogers overrated or do they live up to the hype/pricetag?
The Moogerfoogers are super worth their price for filtering any audio. I think most people only understand them as weird big guitar pedals, but the fact that you can pipe both control and audio to other pedals makes them somewhat infinite. Even a single Moogerfooger lets you do subtle audio changes ...

Re: MIDI control question (Yamaha WX5 specifically)
Thanks! Will definitely check out Midiflow.
Besides Animoog, I've also been using my WX5 to control my 1975 Minimoog! It's really nice. I've got the Expert Sleepers Silent Way ES-3 sending out control voltage to my Minimoog for pitch, gate, filter, and volume. Sometimes I'll use breath to control ...

Re: MIDI control question (Yamaha WX5 specifically)
More thoughts on Animoog with the Yamaha WX5.
It would be really useful to be able to change the range that a CC is in control of. For example, if I were controlling filter frequency with breath control, I might want the low end of my control to start at 25% and peak around 90%. Or potentially to ...

Re: Filtatron doesn't show up in FX for Audiobus
It looks like this currently doesn't work. It doesn't work for me in iOS 8 on either an iPad Mini or an iPhone 5s. The description of the app says that it can. I love this app as is, but it would be amazing to be able to use this to filter other apps through Audiobus.

Re: MIDI control question (Yamaha WX5 specifically)
Ooh, hadn't seen Thor yet. Are there any particular setup options for the EWI that you would recommend?

MIDI control question (Yamaha WX5 specifically)
I've just been playing around with Animoog using a Yamaha WX5 sax controller. It's pretty great. However, I haven't figured out a way to do a couple things.
One is that I'm thinking it could make sense to try using the breath sensor output to control both volume AND something like frequency maybe ...

Re: MoogerFooger Drive CV control mod?
I actually completely dislike the MuRF effect and only use mine as an 8 band eq. Still trying to decide if I should get rid of it, but sometimes an eq is pretty useful.

Re: MoogerFooger Drive CV control mod?
Yeah, might make more sense to get one of the Minifoogers. I'm mostly curious if anyone has done it and if they found it to be useful.
From the demos I've seen, it seems like the overdriviness of turning up drive on the Moogerfoogers would be closer to the Drive Minifooger and similar to an ...

MoogerFooger Drive CV control mod?
Anyone know of a possibility of modifying any of the Moogerfoogers to have a cv input to control the Drive? I'll probably end up getting a Minifooger or two, but having control of Drive on maybe the Filter MF-101 would be pretty interesting.
Re: Audiobus
I'd also love to have Filtatron as an Audiobus app. I'm sure it's taking quite a bit of time to make work really well, especially when other apps can potentially take too much power while things are already being processed. I really love Filtatron and have been using it since it's release as one of ...

Re: Help me swap the power capacitors in my 1975 Minimoog!
I'm not the most electronic of people, and since my Mini wasn't matching the documents I have, I had to figure out why. Your description was helpful though. I'll try to finish that up tomorrow.

Re: Help me swap the power capacitors in my 1975 Minimoog!
I guess I'd have to find a copy of the schematics for this board version, or possibly a photo of a similar Minimoog. Are the capacitors in all variations of Minis going to aim for the same section of the power board? Will tracing out and comparing a schematic for one that doesn't match mine possibly ...

Re: Help me swap the power capacitors in my 1975 Minimoog!
I'm not at my place, I'll have to take a photo of it later tonight. It's definitely different than this example or the two caps facing the other direction. My guess is that it's a hack, or Moog was out of enough 470uF caps so replaced one with 2 1000 uF caps.
Edit: actually, I had taken a photo ...

Re: Help me swap the power capacitors in my 1975 Minimoog!
Ah, should have noted that it wasn't like that one. I've seen that schematic before, but hadn't seen a photo of that one. My board seems closer to the boards with caps rotated 90 degrees from that, but only with two caps vs the three in mine.

Help me swap the power capacitors in my 1975 Minimoog!
So, I wrote way too much on this (link below, which includes photos), but the gist is, does anyone have a 1975 (or thereabouts) Minimoog with power board 91-118 with 3 capacitors on the board, vs the 2 that I am seeing in every photo, schematic, and board scan? Or do they have that board with 2x ...
